Chalky had a great sense of humor and irony at times. 

Here's a little ditty he wrote for me back in 2021.

Listen for the washer listen for the dryer,
One has a low sound the other is much higher
It may be a buzzer, it may be just a ping
Either way its all the same when you’re doing your own thing.
Your sitting in an armchair, you’re falling off to sleep
When suddenly your wakened by an insistent beep.
You leap from your chair but your body’s far behind
Your muscles and your joints find getting up a bind.
